Yesterday night Dwenchan and I watched the movie: "Twilight - New Moon" at 1Borneo, I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to The Body Shop - for sponsoring the movie tickets!My focus for the movie was on three things: the first would be the movie's plot and how the actors play their part, the second are special effects that were implemented and how well did it blend with the movie, and the third - is a personal preference of mine: female casts. Overall, I find the story and effects in the movie rather satisfactory; save for Bella (Kristen Stewart) who seems to become the complete opposite of what I initially viewed her in the previous saga of Twilight.
Reminiscing Twilight (2008), she's the new girl in town thats quiet,
composed, reserved, cautious of her surroundings. Even in her entangled
relationship with main vampire character; Edward Cullen in the first
movie, it seemed understandeable to a certain degree of how she would
like him for his characteristics for it seemed connectible to hers in a
wierd emo kind of way... the fear, uncertainty and lack of
understanding their situation has put both of them in - forces them to
rely on each other and forge the relationship between a human female
and a male vampire.Watching New Moon however, I felt that Bella's personality was rather, degrading - everything I once perceived about the character was completely thrown out of the window... She became a complete nut-job: obsessive, demanding, careless, exaggerated, horribly hallucinated, and is a cocktease. The funny thing is, Edward's personality didn't change much... I was starting to laugh at parts of the movie as Bella slowly transformed herself from being someone sensible to being downright ridiculous. Kristen Stewart has good acting skills, but her portrayal of Bella in this saga seems rather over-exaggerated... her body language in later segments of the movie was pretty much child-like as well.
I feel comforted that the special effects for some of the fight scenes were implemented well... that it doesn't look fake; a good thumbs-up for that. That leaves me contemplating that werewolves must have a vast wardrobe space for bermuda shorts... seeing they keep ripping them apart everytime they transform.
But it never fails to amaze me, the country's censorship board destroying key contents of the movie in cinemas... They just love ripping out movie contents to their hearts content... I noticed an obvious cut
scene where Bella was getting out from her house to see where Jacob
went to in the forest and BOOM! - she suddenly was out flat on woodland
grounds (don't know how, don't know why) - all in all, I managed to
count 3 cutscenes... 1 of them being mentioned above, the most obvious.Of all the movies I've seen that were made into segments, (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and now Twilight) New Moon made a new kind of sound at the end of the movie: I heard lots of "HAAAAAA???", "Whatttttttt?", "AAAAHHH????" orchestrated in complete sync from different seats in the cinema... at least there were no chimpz in the cinema...

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
