I received a call coming from Rachel from The Body Shop around 2.30PM today - and she announced that I was the winner for their Love Etc. "Love Note" competition!
The "Love Note" contest was part of the "Love Etc..." fragrance promotion that was launched together with the sponsored screening for Twilight: New Moon; jointly sponsored by The Body Shop and Breeze Magazine. The idea? To write a romantic love message not more than 20 words. Apart from this contest, I wrote two articles about the entire event on my blog located here and here.
I recall being indecisive about taking part in the competition... but took part in it anyway after giving some thought... the funny and pretty stressful part of this experience was - I had to rush because they were closing the booth; packing up and leaving the cinema premises - as it was time for the screening to show!!! I was the last person to submit my entry...
... but all that squeezed-up stress of an effort, paid off rather well; good enough for my entry to win! I am to call and pick up my winnings from their office or one of their sales branches tomorrow.
I am wondering if there were other winners for this... or is this competition results in a sole winner?

Note to self: Never write a romantic love letter when under extreme pressure...

I can see that you, beyond any doubt, know what you're talking about. Thank you for such an interesting blog post. I'll be sure to come back and read more later.
Too cool! Bookmarking your blog and am going to start working through the archives as soon as I get time. Glad there's someone out there writing about this with your attitude and honesty.
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Very interesting way to market on facebook. I also found a way to automate a couple very powerful methods of getting users. You can harvest ID by groups or pages or wall posts with this program. Then once you have the IDs you can do a friend add to your user ID or sudo profile. This by passes the captcha codes too. There is also a cool chat program that you can setup scripts and keyword to work with. This program, when I use it I can see a spike in my site traffic. It is amazing...
Every time I see blogs as good as this I KNOW I should stop surfing and start working on mine!
