Being a regular smoker, I caught the habit through a lot of influences at a very young age; inclusive of the influence of my father who was a smoker during his middle age years... but apparently his habit has been passed down to me years before he managed to turn cold turkey on it.

Eversince, I've been bombarded by parents, my older sibling, relatives and friends... to stop. They become fresh degree graduate scholars that did multiple thesis of the tobacco product within a day, indicating in detail the bad symptoms that I'm going to get if I keep killing myself 5minutes with each burning stick.

Posters, televised media, magazines slapping pages/articles on the dangers of smoking... adding particular vivid images of the effects of prolonged exposure - eventhough the intention is good to keep would-be smokers to stop from continuing to make it into a habit... does not bode well for those who already are into the habit... these advertisements simply become ammunition for "scholars" to shoot your nerves down with their verbal battering... and most likely, you'll end up on the tracks to becoming a puffing dragon again.

With all this hopelessness and with so much futile attempts at putting a stop to my addiction, I begin to wonder... when can I stop the habit?

Spam emails are getting very sophisticated lately, having copied email postings of big companies like Paypal, Hallmark with their notifications to distribute spyware/malware to your computer. Just last week I had a friend complaining of a laptop issue where the windows was sluggish, ask him if he ever downloaded anything suspicious and he claims he didn't... but upon inspection, I detected a few Hallmark card notifications which the links ended as .exe and .scr files instead of a proper link to where the card is located. Common extensions that harbour viruses and such.

In short, it took a painstaking 4 hours just to remove all problems on his system. What's the lesson to be learned here?

The most obvious reason why would you want to play this game, is the fact
that it has the potential to allow you to earn real money. The money you earn in-game
can be converted into real US Dollars. As up to date
on the Linden currency
market, the ratio of game currency to real US Dollar is on a ratio of 267:1.
Thinking back, the amount to earn is almost like the golden era of Malaysia's
currency exchange level... back in the days where it used to be 2.7.

Recently, the government lifted subsidies over gasoline. They did it abruptly and the hike happens to be the highest recorded in Malaysian history. Despite the public's dissatisfaction over how the government dealt with the global price hikes, one thing is still for certain... we still need to find ways how to efficiently use and conserve gasoline.

Monday 2nd June 2008, Adobe announces the release of Adobe Acrobat 9.

The major highlights of this particular version is that Acrobat will have integration of a wide variation of online content such as Adobe Flash, video, audio and 3D objects into one compressed PDF file. This feature is mostly beneficial to authors of e-books in distributing their online books with digital multimedia content... a much more organized method for authors to display multimedia content in their PDF documents for readers (in other words, everything is in one file) - without the fuss of having the reader lose focus from the document to search the content elsewhere.

The software also features live collaboration in PDF documents through Adobe.com to establish communication to all readers using the free Adobe Reader software... I find this feature would prove most useful in remote learning establishments like remote learning university programs where the author/lecturer can ensure all readers are on the same page in discussion during a live conference thats taking place.

Full press release news of their flagship product can be found here.

Main link to the Adobe Acrobat family site, here.
