Poor Cat On The Road

userpic-3-100x100.png

Kinda depressing to know that my cat (pictured right) is confirmed as the cat that was hit by the roadside in the pouring rain - on the road heading towards my house gate a few days ago.

My old folks could hardly recognize him as his whole body was drenched wet and his face was disfigured as it was completely crushed flat. One of his legs were nearly severed off his body - probably due to the number of cars that went through him.

Just to be sure - we had a four day wait for his return... just in case it was another stray cat instead of him... guess this be the fifth day now.

He will be missed.

A new theme

I placed in another theme.

The recent theme was way too bland, my eyes got sick looking at it... so I had fun adjusting and modifying the new theme a little - learned a thing or two about modifying themes. I'm sure there's a few glitches here and there in certain sections of the blog... but that will be sorted out soon.

IE seems to hate my embedded code... but every other browser seems to be cool with it.

Enjoy the fresh look~

I love the way my dog's positioned. lol.

It's About Time

Five long months of not writing anything onto this blog. Not that I feel guilty doing so - there are situations, obligations and other things - which tend to come about and wreck the norm...

I managed to figure out the itty-gritty and customized the theme to a shade of "blue". The red theme (Minimalist) glazed this blog's surface for about a year and a half already and change was apparent and is rather overdue... such a pity that there's no software that focus specialization in creating custom themes for blogs... either that or I'm not aware of any.

Do let me know if the new blog layout seem rather troublesome to read... in the meantime, I'm definitely looking forward to writing again... it's been too long.

P.S. - Happy Kaamatan Festival to all Kadazandusun friends who commemorate the event. Kotobian Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan. If you've not the slightest idea about what I'm talking about - do read about the Kaamatan Festival here.
When you really think about the new year... nothing new comes with it; your age keeps growing, you make new resolutions - often not accomplishing them and setting them aside for the next year that comes... life's problems keeps growing one after the other, and basically, everyone is hoping the following months in the "new" year aren't as horrible as the last year they've gone through...

So the resolution I have and have always set every year for myself since 2004, was to "go with the flow... and that whatever happens, happens." here's why:

  • You can't change unless you want to change, you can't move forward until you yourself take the first step forward.
  • People see people in terms of weakness, more, than the effort to uphold such strength... so when it comes to promises, I'm not making any - as a slight mistake brands me as weak, and people seem to believe they are better in keeping theirs once they know of your mistake.
  • Disappointment is just an excuse of your actions that society generally pin-points the blame on your self-conscious. If you believe what you're doing is right, then it is - even though it leads to more challenges to solve; because you knew it was right at the time.
  • What you do defines you. Should you strive to be someone else, you are but a mere shadow of their personality. Those people you've tried to follow in their footsteps have made themselves an example for you - therefore, you need to be as unique yourself in order to set an example to others.
  • Nobody is perfect... being perfect only puts you into extreme pressure... you're going to shoot yourself in the foot... or go mad, trying to.
  • Others will only be happy for you, not happy because of you. So if you're trying too hard to make others happy... the only person that wont be happy is you.
Makes sense to me... I've stuck with it since 2004. LOL.

Happy 2010! Lets hope the new year isn't like the last one.

Love Note Prize

| 14 Comments | No TrackBacks
In my previous post I wrote about winning the Love Note contest by The Body Shop, during the time they were sponsoring the Twilight: New Moon screening. Due to some rescheduling - I made arrangements with Rachel to collect it at their outlet in Center Point Sabah.

Its a 30ml bottle of Love Etc... Perfume. Once I got home I took the opportunity to test my product profiling shots with my camera... (I haven't made a large enough light box yet so I took these shots out in the open) I didn't take long though because dwenchan and I were called to attend the Christmas event at Buhavan Square in Donggongon.
